NDA 131 MERIT LIST

RANKS IN INDIAN AIRFORCE

The IAF's rank structure is based on that of the Royal Air Force. The highest rank attainable in the IAF is Marshal of the Indian Air Force, conferred by the President of India after exceptional service during wartime. SSB centres have been for SSCW(NT)-13 Course, The course to commence in APR 2013 Have been uploaded. 1168 girls have been shortlisted for their interview at different SSB centres(Allahabad, Bhopal and Bangalore)
Out of the total no of girls 555 will have interview at ALLAHABAD, 363 will be interviewed at Bhopal and rest 219 will have interview at Bangalore.

Indian Army has published the list of Selected candidates for Short service Commission (NCC special entry)-34 course. The course will commence from Oct 2013. A total no of 22 candidates have made into the merit out of which 14 have been found medically fit while others are a awaiting their re-medical result. The ssb centre list for NDA./NA –1 2013 exam( 131 batch i.e the course commencing from January 2013) has been uploaded. All the candidates who have cleared their written exam have been called for their interview. A total no of 8531 candidates have been finally shortlisted for their interview. The candidates have been allotted their SSB centre on the basis of the choice of service they have chose during submission of form.

CDSE WRITTEN EXAM SYLLABUS


CDSE provide all graduates a chance to join any of three defence services as an officer after completion of their graduation. 10+2 TES an entry which give you an option to become a class-1 gazetted officer in the Technical branch of Indian Army. AFCAT 1/2013 AFSB CALL UP DETAILS

 The call up details has been uploaded for the batches of eligible Candidates for AFCAT 1/2013 courses scheduled to commence in jan 2013. Candidates should reach the places as mentioned in the call up letter.

Those candidates who have not received thier call up lettters are to bring the written AFCAT admit card duly attestesd by AFCAT centre

CHANGE IN AFSB TESTING SCHEDULE

As per revised testing schedule, Board Conference (AFSB)is being conducted on sixth day (Day 6) of testing instead of fifth day (Day 5) as mentioned in the Call Letter generated through the website( www.careerairforce.nic.in). Therefore, all Candidates appearing for AFSB testing for courses commencing  from Jan 2014 are advised to reserve return tickets accordingly.

RIFLEMAN SANJAY KUMAR, PVC

Rifleman Sanjay Kumar, PVC 13 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles, is a recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, India's highest military award. He was the leading Scout of a team tasked to capturing Area Flat Top on July 4, 1999 during the Kargil war. The area was held by Pakistan military. Having scaled the cliff, the team was pinned down by machine gun fire from an enemy bunker, about 150 meters away.

Kumar, realizing the magnitude of the problem and the detrimental effect this bunker would have in the capture of Area Flat Top, crawled alone up the ledge, along a flank, and charged towards the enemy bunker through a hail of automatic fire.

KARGIL WAR AND OPERATION VIJAY

The Kargil War also known as the Kargil conflict, was an armed conflict between India and Pakistan that took place between May and July 1999 in the Kargil district of Kashmir and elsewhere along the Line of Control (LOC). The conflict is also referred to as Operation Vijay  which was the name of the Indian operation to clear the Kargil sector.
The cause of the war was the infiltration of Pakistade facto border between the two states. During the initial stages of the war, Pakistan blamed the fighting entirely on independent Kashmiri insurgents, but documents left behind by casualties and later

Lieutenant Manoj Kumar Pandey, PVC (25 June 1975, Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh - 2/3 July 1999, Kashmir) was the son of Gopi Chand Pandey, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow-Uttar Pradesh, who was awarded Param Vir Chakra for his courage and leadership during adverse times.

This is a story of a son who liad down his life for the motherland at just an age of 21. it is an story of the youngest receipient of Param vir chakra.  Unlike any other citation, this story is narrated by Lieutenant General RK Gaur who was a batchmate of 2ND LT ARUN KHETERPAL. ASHOK CHAKRA

The Ashok Chakra is an Indian military decoration awarded for valor, courageous action or self-sacrifice away from the battlefield. It is the peace time equivalent of the Param Veer Chakra, and is awarded for the "most conspicuous bravery or some daring or pre-eminent valour or self-sacrifice" other than in the face of the enemy. The decoration may be awarded either to military or civilian personnel and may be awarded posthumously. It replaced the British George Cross.
Subsequent awards of the Ashoka Chakra are recognized by a bar to the medal ribbon (Flt Lt Suhas Biswas was the first Indian Air Force officer to be awarded with Ashoka Chakra). It is possible for a recipient to be awarded the Kirti Chakra or Shaurya

PARAM VIR CHAKRA

STAGE 1 TESTING (SCREENING TEST)

D+1 DAY is commonly known as the day of screening. This is the first round of testing and only those who have done well in stage 1 are retained for further testing.
Screening test consists of two tests
1. OIR (Officer’s intelligence rating test).
2. PPDT (Picture perception and discussion test).

PIQ (PERSONNEL INFORMATION QUESTIONAIRE FORM)

 
Filling a PIQ might seem very normal to you and you may take it lightly, but it is something which is having a direct relationship with your result.
A copy of your PIQ is sent to all the assessors assessing you. And from your PIQ form the get a direct insight into your personality and start building their view about. So you should take proper care in filling up of you PIQ form.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS REQUIRED IN SSB

1. Your class 10th, 12th mark sheet and passing certificate.
2. Ssb call up letter.
3. Identity card.

D-DAY (DAY OF ARRIVAL)


 
You have to reach ssb center either in evening or in morning. It is different for different entries. Once you reach in the ssb center you will have to fill up certain forms, and will have to undergo an identification as well as documentation check. After that chest number will be allotted to you.

SSB PROCEDURE


Ssb (service selection board) interview is a personality –cum-interview test.
And it is a compulsory step to become a commissioned officer in Indian army (or Indian armed including both army and navy). It is one of the best techniques to judge a candidate’s suitability for becoming an army officer. This is not only a test to check a candidates mental abilities but it is a check of a candidate’s complete personality.
In this a candidate has to undergo several tasks for the duration of 5(in army its 5+1) days.
